I cannot believe that fall is almost here. While summer is my favorite season, I love all the holidays in fall. I also love all the food associated with fall, apples, pumpkins, caramel, etc. The only problem with fall food is that my husband does not like a lot of fall desserts. He doesn't like any desserts with cooked apple or pumpkins, so if I'm baking in the fall, its usually for myself or for family. I wanted to make something for fall that my husband would like.

When I found Apple Caramel Milky Way bars in the store, I knew I had to try baking something with them. Since this doesn't involve cooked apples, my husband liked them. I decided to make cake cookies and stuff the Apple Caramel Milky Way miniatures into the cookies.
These Caramel Milky Way Cookies were so delicious!! The cake cookie was so moist and I love the surprise of the Milky Way bar inside, with the hint of apple flavor. These could also be made using regular Milky Way miniatures. To make these cookies even better, drizzle some caramel sauce on top. I hope you enjoy this great treat!

Caramel Milky Way Cookies
1 box yellow cake mix
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
Apple Caramel Milky Way miniatures (can also use regular Milky Way miniatures)
Caramel sauce (I used caramel ice cream topping)
1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
2. In a large bowl, stir the cake mix, vegetable oil, and eggs with a spoon until dough forms.
3. Take a small ball of dough and shape the dough around one miniature Caramel Apple Milky Way and roll into a ball. Repeat for each cookie.
4. Place the balls about 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until set. Cool then drizzle caramel sauce on top.
